Founded in 1901 in the town of Haro’s legendary Station Quarter, Bodegas Bilbaínas is the longest-standing bottling winery in Rioja. It also has the most extensive underground cellars in the region and a greater area of vineyards than any other winery in the town: 250 hectares of high quality vines, which supply the winery with its own grapes, ensuring that they can be processed quickly without losing their qualities. Viña Pomal is its flagship brand, which embodies the Rioja Alta's best winemaking tradition. These are exceptional wines that have remained faithful to the classic style of authentic Rioja from the outset.

The total maceration is two weeks, looking for a structure of soft, pleasant wines with great fruit intensity. Twelve months in American oak barrels (15% new) give us the complexity and maturity necessary to complete the expression of this Reserva red wine.

The Viña Pomal estate is made up of 90 hectares of vineyards. Nestled in the municipality of Haro and less than 2 kilometers from the winery, they are located in one of the most beautiful areas of the city; through them we can enjoy the passage of the river Ebro through the shells of Haro.
They are combined in our D.O.Ca. Rioja different ecosystems depending on the variability of the soil and sun exposure, which translates into an exhaustive work of selecting homogeneous areas. The viticulture that is applied arises from a mixture between the traditional Rioja and that of precision, resulting in a viticulture that bets on innovation to protect nature, always under the parameters of obtaining maximum quality. To the work of our own vineyards we add a demanding selection of grapes from our suppliers from Rioja Alta.
