For the Romans "a wine of Tionio" meant the purest. This is the essence and objective of this red wine of the Alto Duero: purity.
The Tionio winery, located in Pesquera de Duero, makes wines that seek to show the best expression of each vintage, both in Ribera del Duero and Rueda. For the Romans, the purest wine was "a wine from Tionio," and this is the winery's essence and objective: purity. Tionio is a unique viticultural project, in which the yields are unusually low and the level of selection high to ensure that the wines are precise and well defined.
