The Winery
The Tionio winery, located in Pesquera de Duero, produces wines seeking the best expression of each vintage, both in Ribera del Duero and in Rueda. For the Romans, "a Tionio wine" meant "the purest" and that is the essence and objective of the winery: purity. Tionio is a unique viticultural project, in which the yields are abnormally low and a higher level of selection is required to achieve this frankness in the wines.

Grapes coming from our estate, La Asperilla, located in Peñafiel at 850 meters of altitude and managed as organic agriculture.
Grapes coming from our estate, La Asperilla, located in Peñafiel at 850 meters of altitude and managed as organic agriculture. Predominance of chalky and gravel soils. Vines were planted in 1994 using the double cordon royat system and a distance between rows and vines of 2.2 × 1.2 meters, resulting in a density of plantation of 3,800 vines/Ha.
