Vintage 2017

The 2017 vintage in Rioja, as in other major world names, was marked by a frost that took place in spring, after a particularly dry winter. The beginning of spring, with very high temperatures, favored early sprouting in our vineyards. This frost, although it was corrected thanks to exhaustive work in the field eliminating the affected shoots, caused a scarcer harvest than in previous vintages. Despite the short vegetative cycle, the grapes quickly reached alcoholic strength and were exceptionally healthy throughout the harvest. In summary, this vintage has offered us warm wines, with somewhat higher alcoholic graduations and a great structure and aging potential, in addition to an interesting contribution of fruit.
