Clamor is the name given to the lower part of the mountain where the vineyards that produce this wine grow. A privileged place on the Raimat estate that gives rise for years to one of the most well-known wines of the house, with intense aromas of citrus and tropical fruits accompanied by white flowers.

The Winery

The history of Raimat goes back to 1914, when Manuel Raventós i Domènech acquired a plot of arid and unfertile land in a unique setting, converting it into what it is today: 2,245 hectares of 100% certified organic vineyards.  Raimat is the expression of wines from Lleida, a land renowned for the quality of its fruit, where the continental climate means that the grapes from this estate give intense and flavourful wines.  The winery is a pioneer in the use of the latest growing and winemaking technology, making a clear commitment to sustainable viticulture and to respecting the land and the environment.

Elaboration - Vinification

The harvest was done at night, taking advantage of the lower temperatures and quickly, to preserve the primary aromas. After pressing, the must is passed through a cold exchanger until a temperature of less than 10 ° C is achieved for static clarification while preserving the primary aromas. The cleaned must is transferred to a stainless steel tank with cooling system to perform a controlled fermentation at 16 °C for 2 or 3 weeks. Once the alcoholic fermentation is finished, we pass the wines in the tanks to avoid their oxidation. The three varieties of grapes are vinified separately. Once the fermentation is finished and the wines clarified, we proceed to elaborate the mixture.

Weather conditions were very favourable: very little rainfall, which made for a healthy harvest plus temperatures that were cool at night and hot during the day: perfect for good ripening.

Weather conditions were very favourable: very little rainfall, which made for a healthy harvest plus temperatures that were cool at night and hot during the day: perfect for good ripening. The cycle started off slower than usual although thanks to the high temperatures in spring and summer it caught up and ended up being a normal cycle.
Cold nights, hot and sunny days, plus a total lack of rain. This enabled us to wait right up to the last moment and harvest excellent fully ripe grapes. An exceptional year for whites at Raimat.
