We call this wine Ànec Mut (Mute Duck) in homage to this species of duck, native to the Penedès and raised in the rural areas around Vilafranca since the 16th century. The breeding of this species has been increasing since the 1990s and it is a highly appreciated meat thanks to its low fat content.
Red in color with purplish reflections as a result of its youth.
The nose is fruity and ripe with a predominance of red fruit aromas.
The palate is structured, with a crispness that will allow it to evolve in the bottle.
Temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aged on lees for 5 months.
